The most requested data broker opt-outs that we receive are listed below, but you can use the search bar to find DIY opt-out instructions for nearly every data broker website online.
Spokeo
Spokeo is a people intelligence service that helps you search, connect, and know who you are dealing with. You can use it to find old friends, identify unknown callers, or research your date. Professionals use it to find new customers or to prevent fraud. Knowledge is a quick search away. To remove your information:
- Go to spokeo.com/optout
- Search and paste the url of your listing
- Enter an email and perform the CAPTCHA
- Click verification link sent to your email
- You will be redirected to a final confirmation page
Intelius
Intelius is the largest existing background check website, with over 20 billion public records. Intelius provides information about people, their histories, and their connections to other people, places, and organizations. To remove your information:
Intelius has a dedicated opt-out page.
- Go to intelius.com/optout
- Search and paste the url of your listing
- Enter an email and perform the CAPTCHA
- Click verification link sent to your email
- You will be redirected back to the Intelius page, confirming that your request was successfully submitted
BeenVerified
BeenVerified is a data broker that posts your personal information publicly online. Removing yourself from BeenVerified requires you to fill out an opt-out form and verify your email address. Your listing should be removed within 24 hours.
- If you would like to opt out of BeenVerified People Search results Click Here
- Enter your first and last name, choose the state and click ‘Search’
- Find the matching profile and click on it
- Enter your email and perform CAPTCHA
- Click verification link sent to your email
- Press ‘Verify Opt-Out’ button
- You will get a verification email confirming your opt-out request
InstantCheckmate
Instant Checkmate provides you with the most useful, detailed and important information on just about anyone. Providing background check, police and court records, contact information and search by name, surname and location.
- Go to instantcheckmate.com/optout/
- Enter your first and last name, city and state and click ‘Search’
- Find your profile result, click on the ‘Remove this record’ button
- Enter your email, perform CAPTCHA
- Click on the ‘Send confirmation email’ button
- Click verification link sent to your email
- Confirm opt-out button
Mylife
With mylife you can request to opt-out via email, at privacy@mylife.com or by calling MyLife customer care team at (888) 704-1900.
In about 3-5 day your information will be taken off MyLife.com

Whitepages
Whitepages is a people search website that includes name, address, phone number, age, nearest relatives, past residences, and email address. Whitepages Premium gives access to full contact details including mobile numbers, bankruptcy records, criminal records, and more. To remove your information:
- Visit the website whitepages opt-out page
- Type your first and last name, city, state or ZIP and click search
- Find your personal records. Click on “View Details”
- Copy the URL of your profile
- Paste the URL of the profile you want removed. Click on “Opt-Out” button
- The website will direct you to the page where you need to confirm that this is your profile and not somebody else’s. Click on Remove Me button
- Choose one of the reasons you want remove from whitepages.com. Press “Submit”
- You will need to entry a valid telephone number
- Click on “Call Now to Verify” you will directed to the page with you verification code
- After a few seconds you will receive a call from Whitepages robot, you’ll be asked to provide the verification code
- You now have successfully removed your private records from Whitepages.com
TruePeopleSearch
Find lost friends and family as easy as possible. Get address history, phone numbers, relatives, associates, email addresses & more. To remove your information:
- Go to truepeoplesearch.com/removal
- Agree to the terms and check the “I’m not a robot button”
- Click the ‘begin’ button below
- Search for your record, click on the details button to bring up your record detail
- At the bottom of the record detail page click the ‘remove this record’ button. If you don’t see that button you are either on the wrong page or your session expired (in which case start over here)
- You are done. Your record will be removed everywhere on the site
Radaris
Radaris collect’s your personal information from many online sources and uses this information to create a comprehensive profile, available to anyone who requests it. To opt out and keep your information private:
- Go to radaris.com/page/how-to-remove
- Search for your name
- On the search results page, select your profile
- On the profile page, click the down-arrow to the right of the name and select “Control Information”
- From the information control page, choose “Remove information”
- Here you can choose to remove all information, or to delete specific recordsTo Remove All Information:
- Confirm your real name matches your account and profile name.
- Enter your cellular phone to receive a verification code
- Once the code has been entered, the profile will be private
Doing this yourself won’t cost you anything. However, it can take hours to go through each website. Just remember to be patient. You may have to accept that there are some things you won’t be able to permanently delete from the internet.
